We made it to another Monday!

It’s the last week of the first half of the year. We just keep going through them like nobody’s business. The last week of the month generally is slow for my business, but I am hoping for a windfall of business this week. Hey, you don’t get it if you don’t ask for it!

If it’s the end of June that means my parents are about to make their annual summer sojourn. I am looking around my house trying to prioritize which projects to tackle while they are visiting the SisterDears. For sure painting the hallway and my office. I can’t think beyond that right now. Because it’s hot. Really hot. We just had a tiny bit of rain… and I do mean tiny.

I haven’t seen the geese in a few weeks so they have apparently migrated until next February. Sadly, this was not a good year for goslings. Only 1 out of 7 made it. Or it was a good year for the hawks, raccoons and feral cats. It’s all part of wildlife here at the Swamp.

I’m busy with youknowwhat. I hope your day is lovely. xoxo

PS. As I was finishing up this post this line was spoken just before I turned off the TV|

“I could use a Twinkie.”

And the movie, which just started… Zombieland. Happy Monday! :-)

  2. “It’s the circle of life …” at the swamp and now that song is stuck in my head! Oy!

By the by, love the picture of Nassau in your post below this, I’m just too lazy to comment on both posts! ;-)

I really can’t believe that it’s the end of June already – where has the year gone? Before you know it we’re going to be saying good-bye to 2011 and welcoming in 2012. Sheesh. Life sure starts to go by fast when you get past a certain age, doesn’t it?

Best wishes for an unseasonably busy week at the “W” word and I hope you get a break from the Georgia heat soon!

  3. Yes the circle of life. Painful as it may be it’s natures way of balance.

Have a terrific week ahead. Big hugs and lotsa lovies and scritches to all the babies. Especially the star of my post today. :)

  4. Miles and more miles. And a sleeping Missy. That’s a good thing. And W NY is hot. Bleh. And the roads are bumpy.

    Big hugs honey..

  5. We don’t have twinkies here and I think that my life is poorer because of it. How long are the folks away for?

  6. Twinkies don’t excite me, but tastykake peanut butter candykake might!

Hope you have lots of orders this week and are successful at finding a way to tap into that international market. You can do it!
